Glenn started with Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company in July 1983 at the age of 24. His first position with the company was as an over-the-road driver. After working a year as an over-the-road driver, Glenn was trained to become an order-filler. In his job as an order-filler, Glenn became very familiar with the lumber inventory and the quality requirements of Schaller Hardwood’s customers. In 1985, Glenn was promoted to the position of yard supervisor of Schaller Hardwood’s Kiln Drying Operation. Glenn’s responsibilities as supervisor, included scheduling of the dry kilns, receipt and inspection of green lumber, seeing that the lumber was properly placed on sticks to ensure flat straight lumber, and the supervision of about a dozen employees. Glenn during this time also attended several courses on kiln drying and lumber inspection. In 1987, Glenn was promoted to an outside sales position and placed in charge of procurement of all local/tie side lumber. Glenn has worked in outside sales covering Arkansas, Western Tennessee, Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana, and Oklahoma. At the present time Glenn is handling outside sales in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Glenn, when in town, assists in inside sales and delivery scheduling. Glenn has also kept his chauffeur’s license up to date. When special circumstances arise, Glenn has been known to jump into the truck to help out. Glenn brings over 25 years of experience and expertise to his customers.

BRIAN ELLIOTT

Brian began his career with Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company in October 1984 after attending Three Rivers Community College for two years. Brian started his career in the hardwood lumber industry as a lumber handler at Yard #2, handling green lumber for the lumber inspector. After about 2 months handling lumber, Brian was transferred to Yard #1 to train as a forklift operator. Brian while working full-time for Schaller Hardwood also worked part-time in sales for J.C. Penney. In October 1985, Brian was promoted to a position as a lead man in the company’s millwork facility. Brian set up and operated the Oliver-Strato-Plane and straight-line rip saw. In September 1986, Brian attended a National Hardwood Lumber Inspection Short Course. This course is an intensive 3 day course of instruction on the basics of hardwood lumber grading. In January 1990, Brian was promoted to a position as an order-filler. Fort the next four years Brian prepared lumber orders and plywood orders. This experience prepared him for an outside sales position as he became intimate with the hardwood lumber inventory, customer’s needs and expectations. In April 1994, Brian was promoted to an outside sales position covering Central and Northern Missouri, Western Illinois, and St. Louis. After achieving a high degree of success in this territory, Brian expanded his territory into Central Illinois. Brian with over 24 years of experience in the hardwood lumber industry, has proven to be an asset to both his customers and Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company.

SCOTT LUNDSTROM
SALES PROFESSIONAL
Scott
began his career with Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company in November 1979, as a
lumber handler in St. Louis, MO, after attending Southeast Missouri State
University for two years. When Scott started working for Schaller Hardwood, St.
Louis was the company’s only location. In January 1980, Scott enrolled in the
Lumber Inspection School at the National Hardwood Lumber Association in Memphis,
TN. This course is an extensive four month course on grading hardwood lumber.
Upon graduation in May 1980, Scott became the first employee to begin work at
our Poplar Bluff location. Scott became a jack-of-all-trades in Poplar Bluff
during the transition time of moving inventory and buildings from St. Louis to
Poplar Bluff. Scott handled responsibilities, including order-filler, lumber
inspector, kiln operator, and truck driver during this transition time. In
September 1982, Scott was promoted to an outside sales position covering Central
Illinois, Southern Indiana, Western Kentucky, and Western Tennessee. Scott also
began assisting in the purchasing of plywood inventory and green lumber for our
kiln drying operation. In January 1991, Scott was promoted to Yard Supervisor.
Scott has the responsibility of managing a work force of 25 employees,
scheduling and operating 6 dry kilns containing 40,000 board feet of lumber
each, supervising and assisting in the inspection and receipt of all green
lumber, and coordinating the flow of lumber from the dry kilns to our main yard
facility in Poplar Bluff. Scott during his 29 years of experience in the
hardwood lumber industry, has furthered his education by taking several classes.
These classes include, National Hardwood Lumber Association Introduction to Kiln
Drying, National Hardwood Lumber Association Wet Wood Workshop, National
Hardwood Lumber Association Sales Seminar, University of Minnesota Dry Kiln
School, University of Louisiana Log and Lumber Grading School. Scott has proven
over the years to be a great source of knowledge for Schaller Hardwood Lumber
Company’s customers. Scott is always ready to assist our sales department or
any customer that may have a question concerning lumber grading or kiln drying.

KEITH ROBERTSON
SALES PROFESSIONAL
Keith began his career in the hardwood lumber industry after graduating from the University of Missouri with a B.S. degree in Forestry Management in May of 1975, with the Frank Paxton Lumber Company in Kansas City, MO. Keith’s first position was handling inside sales. After becoming familiar with the company’s customer base and their customers requirements, Keith was promoted to a position in outside sales. Keith handled a territory for the Frank Paxton Lumber Company covering the northern half of Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska. In 1992, after the sale of Frank Paxton Lumber to the Jeld Win Corporation and a change in management philosophy, Keith took a position in outside sales with Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company. Keith handled a sales territory for Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company covering Southwest Missouri, Eastern Kansas, and the northern half of Missouri. Keith while working in outside sales for Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company was able to increase sales and contribute with solid suggestions to the continuing success of Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company. In 1994, Keith expressed a desire to remain closer to home and have less overnight travel. In order to accomplish this, Keith took a position in management with Magic Woods, Inc. in Kansas City, MO. Keith worked in purchasing, delivery scheduling and routing, and telephone sales. In 1997, with his children graduating from high school, Keith felt the itch to return to outside sales and returned to Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company. Since 1997, Keith covered a sales territory for Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company covering Northwest Arkansas, Southwest Missouri, the Kansas City Metropolitan area, and the northern half of Missouri. Keith’s over 30 years of experience in the hardwood lumber industry are of great benefit to both Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company and his customers.
